In an apartment above a small inner city street in Palermo, Domenico Sciajno and Lawrence English commenced recording this edition amid the clutter of a huge outdoor street festival. It seemed like the entire of Palermo had been squeezed into a few small alleyways and parade grounds. Bodies colliding, drinking, cheering and the constant din of scooter horns blaring and collisions are narrowly avoided.

This is an exercise in deep listening...
My first encounter with Steve Roden's work was the Dust To Digital curatorial release "I listen to the wind that obliterates my traces"...the tautology of that phrase intrigues me and so does Forms of Paper: quiet,intense,spacious,intricate...we are in micro territory here and we must adjust our perception accordingly...I think it is beautiful.
